Pennies for Patients

Pennies for Patients

Every year, our school and others all around the United States, have a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that they call, “Pennies for Patients.” You will be getting this information from your homeroom class and there will be some small boxes for you to put the money in each class.

Pennies for Patients is a program or drive that allows you to donate money to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and they use the money to buy medical supplies and combine molecules to help find a cure to these blood cancers.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health organization that was developed in 1949. This facility dedicated it’s business days, months, and years to blood cancer research.

This wonderful idea for the Pennies for Patients money drive at Harvest is being lead by Ms. Zorn’s Leadership class. This class organized this event to help the leukemia and lymphoma patients. The leadership class will get the message out about the event’s sub-text.

This event will last for nine whole days, starting on February 7th and ending on February 15th. The leadership class set a goal for $2000 in these nine days. On the 15th of February or somewhere around that time area, you will need to turn in your little boxes to your 1st period or homeroom class.

Leadership encourages you to donate any extra change you find or get to the Pennies for Patients as soon as possible.
