This Sunday, March 4 be prepared for the 90th Oscar awards show! Which movie will be nominated and which one is in the lead so far?

 

Live on channel 2 the Oscars 2018! The Red Carpet Walk at 5 pm and Ceremony at 8 ET AND 5 PT pm. With your host second time in a row, Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby theater in Hollywood. The movies nominated are “Call Me by Your Name”, “Dunkirk”, “Lady Bird”, “The Post”, “Darkest Hour”, “Get Out”, “Phantom Thread”, “The Shape of Water”, and “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”.

 

So far the main movie in lead is “The Shape of Water” with 13 nominations. The movie in second place is “Dunkirk” with 8 nominations. Daniel Day-Lewis starred in “Phantom Thread” and Daniel Kaluuya starred in  “Get Out” are the top favorites for the best actors.  A few people presenting this year is Margot Robbie, Gina Rodriguez, Emma Stone, Daniela Vega, and Zendaya.  Other nominations for the Best Animated Feature Films are “The Boss Baby”, “The Breadwinner”, “Coco”, “Ferdinand”, and “Loving Vincent”.

 

Amongst many films this year, there is one particular section for short films. There are different films with that fit in the categories of Animated short films and Live action films. Some films up for nomination this year in the category of live action is “Dekalb Elementary”,   “The Silent Child”, “Watu Wote” and more in this category.  In the animated films category, there’s “Dear Basketball” sketches of the story of Kobe Bryant, narrated by himself. Along with a Pixar animated film called Lou, there are many more nominated.
