State testing – Paper? or Digital?
Harvest Middle School will be starting their CAASPP state testing this month. Digital state testing is still fairly new and is continually being improved.
While some prefer the paper test, the majority of the students like the digital test better. 8th grader Sophia Niaburg said, “In the paper test I was always mixing up my answers on the bubble sheet.” This is only one of the many problems that Sophia had with the paper test.
Another 8th grader Ida Killebrew, from Harvest, disagreed with Sophia and the others that prefer the digital test saying that “Starring at a screen for so long makes me feel nauseous.”
Overall the preferred testing method is digital at Harvest Middle School.
