For most students, field trips are their favorite part of the school year. It depends on the person, but a lot of students love field trips.

On 9/11/19, some HMS students were asked the question, “If you could pick any realistic field trip to go on what would it be?”

Mason Meyer, an 8th grader here at Harvest, said, “I would go to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.”

Another student at HMS, Samantha Rubio (6th), said, “I’d like to go to the beach.”

Some students would rather do local field trips. “I would want to go to the movies and watch the new Angry Birds or Dora movie,” said J.D. Carrera.

The annual field trips that Harvest does, as of now, are; 6th graders go to the movies, 7th graders go to the River Cats baseball game and the 8th graders go to Six Flags.

The most popular answer when it came to asking kids about which field trips they want was the beach. However, there were some students that would like to go to art museums or Fuller Park.

Field trips are something that kids enjoy and some teachers love them too. Everyone is happier when we go on field trips, it’s a win-win.
