Leadership provides holiday fun with a cause

Mrs. Hurtado’s Leadership class hosted the 11th Annual Harvest Halloween Parade on Thursday, October 31 in the main quad. During milk break there was a costume parade judged by teachers and students. The costume categories were: most creative, scariest, cutest, couples, groups, super hero, and celebrity look-alike.

Leadership was promoting the International Baccalaureate learner profile characteristics of caring, open-minded, and principled students.”

At lunchtime, there was a carnival of game booths for students to win candies and tickets. The tickets were deposited into donation boxes of students’ choice to one of the following organizations: Pennies for Patients, Human Society, St. Jude, Wounded Warrior, Susan G. Komen (Pink Ribbon/Breast Cancer), Red Cross – helps with relief to victims of hurricanes in Mexico. Leadership will be making a donation to one or more of these organizations.
