Mr. Page, one of Harvest Middle School’s P.E. teachers, has been hosting a weight training class called “Diamond Fitness”. This class started in September and is based on the students age, skill, and sports interest.

Mr. Page stated, “We will be using resistance tubing, body weight exercises, such as push ups, body squats, body bars, and Olympic weights.” The workouts will be fun to prevent “boredom”. Eventually, the students will see a difference in muscle and endurance, which might start a fitness habit that can last a lifetime. Willem Demsky, a diamond student, says, “I’m not telling you it’s easy. I’m telling you it is worth it”.

Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7 to 8 a.m.  and Coach Page said, “I’m jazzed at the commitment of the students who get up early in the mornings to work out. They want to do this!”
