Harvest Student Places in World Competition
Whitney Swafford Travels With Napa Team to Hawaii for International Gymnastics Meet.
The Gymnastics Zone’s team features Harvest student Whitney Swafford (4th from right) who traveled to Hawaii in January for an international gymnastics competition.
From January 17-19th, a 7th grade girl from Harvest Middle School competed in the Aloha Gymfest in Kailua, Hawaii. Twenty-eight gyms from around the US, Canada, Australia, England and Japan participated in this competition.
You have probably heard of or seen this girl around school and her name is Whitney Swafford!
Whitney finished fourth on vault, sixth on bars, sixth on beam, sixth on floor and sixth all-around with a score of 34.300. Pretty impressive with all the international competition.”

The Napa Valley Gymnastics Zone is where Whitney goes to the gym and works out. I interviewed her earlier this week and she shared some things about Hawaii. Whitney is a very talented athlete but a shy girl around people, though she surely shows how competitive she is out on the gym mat.
Whitney reported that the Hawaii trip was a lot of fun and a great experience. She actually has been there before on family vacation to Honolulu. It was special for her this time being able to combine her competition with a family trip and a team adventure.
