HMS Halloween Costume Parade Celebrates Its 10th Year

Parade Photos by Eyes of the Hawk Staff
Joe Holland was one of the costume contest winners at the annual parade.
On Friday, October 31, Harvest Middle School celebrated its tenth annual Halloween Parade. There was no advisory that day because of an extended lunch in order to make time for a Halloween Costume Contest!
The rain moved the parade inside the Big Gym and students filled the seats to watch or got organized into their costume categories in order to show off their creativity.
The costume categories this year were: most creative, scariest, cutest, couples, groups of 3 or more, super hero, and celebrity look-alike.
There were seven teachers as judges to determine who was wearing the best costume.
The students judged teacher costumes and this year it was a tie between Anthony & Cleopatra (Mr Ferrario and Mrs. Riddell) and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head (Ms. Zorn and Ms. Davis).
The costume rules this year were that everyone was supposed to put all make-up or hairspray on before school, and also no one was allowed to bring fake or look alike weapons because the State Law does not allow it.
Even the big rain this year couldn’t dampen student spirit!
Great photos of Halloween and costumes. I was there, but it is nice to revisit with pics.
