When will Mankind reach Mars

The space expedition has been in the workings ever since mankind set foot on the Moon. November 26th 2011 NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) launched a spacecraft headed toward Mars, the spacecraft reached Mars soil August 6th, 2012. This rover was called “Curiosity” and is still on Mars to this day.                                           NASA has been proud to announce that astronauts are in training this moment for their launch to the red planet. NASA is developing the technology to send humans to a asteroid in 2025 and will have the technology to launch a rocket to Mars, successfully, in 2030.                                                                                                                                                   Mars was actually a planet just like earth, once. Scientist have been able to identify frozen puddles of water, and from chemicals in the air, have been able to say that once Mars would have been a suitable planet for humans. However scientist have not been able to tell if Mars once had forest and different temperature climates like Earth does. If this is the case, then Mars would not have been able to support life. And although rovers sent to Mars have gotten DNA samples of organisms that have survived through the rough climates, scientist believe that if Mars ever was home to humans, it must have changed drastically over the course of millions of years.                                                                         Mars has been the only other planet that scientist have been able to identify it’s structure. But if Mars once did hold life in it’s atmosphere the biggest question is “Why did it change?”                                                                                              Scientist have been struggling to answer this question since “Curiosity” was launched in 2011. The only scientific answer that they could come up with, was that Mars somehow went through a major “IceAge” that it never came out of. If it weren’t for the cold temperatures that rovers have picked up on, then Mars might be able to support life, but because of the freezing climates, scientist have no idea what to think of the planet. Rovers sent to Mars have been able to identify that the average temperature for Mars is about -81 degrees Fahrenheit (-62 degrees Celsius) but it has been able to reach a high of about 70 degrees Fahrenheit (about 20 degrees Celsius.) These temperatures show capability of life, however the temperature is almost always below freezing, and scientist all agree that humans would freeze before they starved of no food, or any other causes of death.                                                                                             So now the big question is “Can humans survive on Mars?”
