The new puppy Winnie!

In early November the former  6th and 7th grade science teacher Mrs.Lewis, a former dog owner of Lexie had gotten a new puppy named Winnie, in training to be a therapy dog for the school.

Winnie is a coca-poo mixture and is a golden brown color. You can see Winnie in Mrs. Lewis’s classroom during milk break in F3 every day. Currently Winnie is 5 months old and her birthday is September 12 so come and visit her.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays there is a crew of girls that come and take care of the animals and Winnie, and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays the Crew of boys come to take care of her and the animals at lunchtime The reason behind this is Mrs. Lewis wants it more quiet during lunchtime.  Winnie is very energetic and exited to see everyone even if its your first time seeing her.

The main routine we have for Winnie is: take her out of her cage put her leash on and take her out to go to the restroom. Then we keep her leash on just in case she runs out the door when someone is coming inside the classroom so we can catch her if she escapes.
