The Incoming Changes of Harvest

The Incoming Changes of Harvest

In the coming years, namely 2018 and 2019, many physical changes are coming to harvest, at least construction-wise.

Next year river will be moving off campus. What does this mean for harvest? Well, now we have some extra space to move, given that they’re leaving a decent chunk of property, so we will expand to take over that space.

We will also be upgrading many of the buildings on both campuses. We will be upgrading structural integrity and replacing roofs where needing. We will also be rebuilding certain buildings to meet the state’s new earthquake safety standards, and replacing/upgrading any fire/security alarms needed. There will also be plumbing, heating, lighting and electrical upgrades/replacements.

Old classrooms will be modernized, meaning science labs and technology infrastructure will be upgraded/replaced to keep pace with 21st century teaching and learning.

We will also be fencing in the school, with only one way in and one way out, and security overall will be increased, with the aforementioned alarm checks and new camera installments.

The old office will be destroyed, and we will take over river’s old office. What about the space left over, you say? Well, that will be added as an expansion to the parking lot. We will also upgrade classrooms and training facilities for vocational and Career Technology┬áeducation (CTE). We will also be demolishing some old buildings, namely the bigger I-rooms, ex: I-8, I-12, and also the classroom closest to the park.
